Hi HeShe
Do you get to dogsit too? I bet the dogs fear your beak!

Turkey is the bigger, more feathered baby. They were both hatched on Nov. 24, with Turkey being about 14 hours older than Giblet.

My flock lives with a family of a man, woman, boy, and girl. The other birds think of them as their family. They call the man, "The Edible One" because he's tasty. The Woman is "The Cuddler", the Boy is "The Feeder", and the Girl is "The Bird Whisperer" (because she can tame just about any bird.)

I lived in a big flock with about 150 other 'tiels for over 2 years, and I was supposed to be a breeding bird. When I came to live with the family I was pretty wild and untame. I don't hiss or bite them anymore, and I step up on their finger just as nice as you please, but I absolutely HATE being petted or scritched. That's why my motto is "Touch me not!" I don't show them any affection or indication that they are anything more to me than a man, woman, boy, and girl. So that's why I call them that (so do Rico & Paulie), but all the other birds refer to them by the other names in their blogs. They had those names long before we were on BC so they use them instead of "Mom and Dad". Maybe with time I'll get attached to them but for now they're only good for feeding me, cleaning my cage, and typing my blog!

Your friend,
Apollo
