Hi, cuties
Did Santa birdie shower you with presents this year? I have been a good girl ALL year so I got an extra toy. Oliver was AFRAID of his for a few days. (He is such a chicken) We have snow today but we didn't have it on Christmas Day. Dad likes that the heating bills are less cuz it has been warmer than usual for this time of year. Our low tonight is supposed to be 32 which is more like fall weather. Your Mom mentioned on another blog to one of my flock mates that Kiwi is aggressive. The name "love Birds" is a misnomer. They are in "love" with each other and bond extremely tight. Even hand fed Love Birds have to be constantly worked with to keep their tameness. It is no fun being bitten. It might be best if your Mom bpught a book on Love Birds and their behavior and how to tame them again. Was Kiwi EVER tame? (hand fed, hand raised) In our flock some birds are more affectionate then others. Mom always had female green-cheeks and they were total lovers but Ozzy, a male, is much more aloof. I NEVER bite Mom but my former cage mate, Josh, R.I.P., bit Mom all of the time when given an opportunity. He was loving and sweet when HE wanted to be but reach into our cage to change dishes or clean, WATCH OUT! AV4U! Kisses, Jade
