Kirby arrives at Kevlar Stadium....
a place where many a very happy moment was experienced. Looking around, he takes in the stadium grounds before him; the empty stands, the empty flagpoles, the empty fountain, the darken windows of the concession stands, the quietness of this grand park. It's this way every year at this time. But the sad thing is, it's going to stay this way this year. KEVLAR MEMORIAL STADIUM will be remained closed this season.
A smile creeps across Kirby's beak though as he remembers the good times; the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, the thrill of a win, the pain of a loss, the fun of being with teammates and friends. He's thankful for all the memories.
"Thank you, Mr. Tim for hatching this idea of a baseball page. Thanks too to all those that helped make it a reality. I really appreciate all the work that went into this page. Thanks for the good times."
And with that, Kirby removes his cap, bidding KEVLAR MEMORIAL FIELD a fond farewell. |
