Night blooming Cereus
Sorry to hear the iguanas ate your Night blooming Cereus. That particular plant that Tessa is hanging on is from a cutting I took in exchange for helping a friend repot hers. When that plant grew up, I sent cuttings I developed to friends in Oregon, Ohio, and several friends have it all over Cohnnecticut. So now that plant is spreading over the entire country! They survived the trip in an ordinary mailing envelope! So if you would like me to start you a cutting email me at: and I'll send it to you.
Meanwhile, it would be really nice to get the birds out on the deck. Tessa, Zena, Zachary and Zelda and Zorro all get to come out when the weather is nice. They love being outside in the fresh air and sun. I put some dishtowels on one side of the cage so they can have some shade if they want it, but nearly most of the time they are out in the sun and Tessa is yelling at the cardinals.
Let me know about that plant on Tessa's page. Meanwhile, here's a vote for you.
