Hi Y'all
Hey a photo contest is great. Dad took a picture of a hawk that mom's uncle raised...his boy snatched the chick and uncle took it away from him and raised her. He did a wonderful job. He kept her outside when she got big enough. He had no desire to make her a pet. And he would shoot her a fresh kill every day and put it on ropes and make her work for it once she got big enough. He was soooo careful about what he used to kill so it wouldn't hurt her. He made sure he took away any bullet too. When she was big enough and wanted to fly he turned her loose. There was a big male that was around her for a while and after she was loose she flew off with him. The next year she came back with her male and a couple of chicks. She landed but her family didn't. After she showed off her family she left and they stayed around but never had anything to do with uncle again.
OOPS. kinda got off the subject. hehehe Well, Mom will try to find her photo and I'll let y'all know. --Punkin
