Sky's thought of the day
I feel very blessed and thankful today that so many birdies have visited this page. I do hope that others will come by and share with us their past lives, the rescues and their new loving forever homes. It is so important to get the word out about bird abuse. Too few actually know it takes place.
Bird Rescues are over run with UNWANTED birds. Birds that for no fault of their own ended up abused, starved, neglected and disposable. My Momma as a breeder has met a large population of would-be bird owners. She always starts off telling all the bad; the noise, the mess, the bites that may come. Many have changed their minds on owning a bird, or have selected a different species more suitable for their family.
Rescues, and Sanctuaries need our support. The costs of caring for unwanted and often sick birds is high. We all, everyone of us can help out in some way. Just take a few moments to think of how you could help and share with us your ideas.
