Hi Corky,
Have a look at my gallery & see the first two pics with the kookaburra, that is the pal that goes on auction on Tuesday May 1st at Cupid's patio. My mum is donating the pal & whatever money comes out of it, will have to go to the winners favourite rescue, either in money, food items, toys or volunteer time in the value of the highest bid.
It's an open, public auction & will go from 8am-8pm on Tuesday. As you might know, the kookaburra is an Australian bird, whose call sounds like laughter. It is very infectious & very typical to the Australian landscape.
He belongs to the kingfishers & has a very strong beak. They can get quite tame, some people keep them as pets.
Not a day goes by where we can't hear their call. Mum does pretty darn good imitation of it too! They do come to peoples balconies & you can often hand feed them They love minced meat the best!
Hopefully you will participate in the auction!
The 3rd pic in my gallery is of her new umbrella cockatoo, she only finished yesterday.
It's been a nice day with no wind & mum had the best swim.
