Kaytee Recall
Yes, Claire, my cockatiel hen recently passed, but that had nothing to do with the Kaytee formula. Her daughter Sidney (Sid for short) is the one that was harmed by Kaytee. Sid was a severely stunted chick, her feet didn't grow properly, so she cannot perch well, and she cannot climb. She is mostly blind. She cannot groom or preen herself very well, so I have to do it for her. I have to check her eyes and nares daily for dust, fluff, dander, or blockages, so she doesn't get infections. I love my little Sid dearly, but I know her life will be drastically cut short due to Kaytee. The vet says her organs are small, and will most likely fail in a few years. |
