Greetings to Chico!
This is the TC Flock, flying by with our news post for this first day of July….and what a newsy day it is!!!
First, we wish to thank Kiddo and Ranebeau for the wonderful beach party last night. It was a beautiful memorial to all of our friends up on Rainbow Bridge….especially Bertie and Christy. We did not get to say goodnight because of PC problems again…this time a virus, so we bid you all “goodnight” today and we thank you all for sharing this amazing evening with us. HP solved the virus problem online this morning by doing a restore….it took them 2 hours, but it was worth it. It is a miracle what they can do….they literally took over our PC, just as if they were here sitting beside us.
Second, congrats to SAM on this first day of running for BOTM. We are sure all BC birdies are behind him 100%! We love his pirate theme. We wish we could vote 100 times a day for this illustrious Pirate, but once will have to do!
Third, we wish to announce that we have collected $92 in coins from the reflecting pool. We are donating $100 to Ziggy’s Bird Rescue Center in Lake City, Florida….as a memorial to Bertie and Christy. MaMa-JOY also plans to volunteer here 2 days each week as long as her health permits.
Finally, we wish to invite all of you to our first annual Rainbow Party here on the Patio Tuesday, July3rd….from 2pm till ??????. The theme of our party is The RAINBOW. Its purpose is tri-fold: To celebrate the 4th, to remember loved ones up on the Bridge and as an open house for our new shops. There will be Rainbow refreshments, rainbow door prizes, rainbow games and rainbow fireworks after dark. From 7pm till 9pm Charlie’s Lardfeathers Band will play for your singing and dancing pleasure. Then the fireworks will begin. Did you know that there is an actual fireworks company named “Rainbow Fireworks”? Their displays all make amazing rainbow formations…in all the shapes and colors of rainbows. They even have some for daylight use, which we have ordered. Please visit the first two pages of the patio photo gallery where we are posting pics of some of the party events, prizes and refreshments.
Also on this party day, guests who browse thru our new gift shop departments and our new memorial gallery will receive special door prizes. BB2 and SB are offering a free photo gift of your choice if you visit their shop (limit one per flock). And, Cupid and Daisy are offering to custom frame one quote of your choice from the memorial gallery, which will be a music frame that will be programed to play a tune to match the theme of your quote. (Limit one per flock). And, ever so often, at random intervals, we will surprise a guest with a door prize.
Plus, many more surprises….too many to list. So, mark Tuesday on your calendar and plan to fly by the patio to celebrate July 4th with a BANG!!!! (We didn’t pick Weds for the party, because so many are planning to attend cookouts and other events). Hugs and votes to you all from Cupid, SB, Daisy |
