I'm Sorry That Your Momma Got Chomped! What are ye thinkin'!? She be the one who is always there fer you! Sometimes they have "mom things" they have to do but don't wanna do them. I'm sorry she wasn't able to do any notes for you. Maybe she didn't do any notes for anybird? Poor Aunt Betty. She's still hurt inside, Rusty, and she needs you, too. Can you remember being all nestled under her neck when you were in that loud, bright, noisy place? With bunches of humans walking around that you didn't know, and didn't WANT to know? Yep, it was she who made you feel safe & wanted. And then you went to this home with her! You got to admit, she's made it really cushy for ya while you've been there! You, Rusty, are a very lucky bird. Instead of biting....you must learn the word "no". I don't mean to know it from her, I mean to SAY it to her! You don't like something, you tell her NO! It works for me! I'm learning all about the word "wait". It means something different from "no". It means "no" right NOW now but in a little while it turns into a YES!!! HA! It's like the yes has to grow or somethin' but it will come when there is a "wait"! And Rusty, if you add with that NO a thank you with it....they actually will smile at you when you say it! Like they know exactly what you mean! Usually when I say "no" Mom just walks away saying OK. But after awhile she'll come back and want me to do whatever & I usually do it because I feel like I made her "wait". I really DO want to please her and I like having a give and take. But chompin' the Momma ALWAYS ends up put in the cage. All she has to do is very sternly say "NO BITE! GO IN!" She doesn't even get to "go in" and I'm already heading there like a guy goin' into the doghouse. Biting I used to be REALLY bad about it. But I'm getting where it rarely happens now. Momma says I'm a good boy and she's proud of me. I say it like this Sam's a proudy bird! I just like saying words like I want to say them because Mom never says "proudy" just like she never calls Buster (the male cat & my nemesis) ButtGirl. I have just made it up to call HIM! It was the nastiest insult I could think of that would anger him. He does hiss when I call him that which pleases me he is angry about not being able to talk back! HA! And if I want to REALLY scare him, all I have to do is flap my wings!! Isn't that nuts!? It sends ALL kitties scrambling to hide. I think they must have met the old owl way back in the woods. They were kittens out there in the woods before their momma brought them to our house. Mom was gone and certain humans let them come in because they were SMALL then! Not anymore! They're BIG cats now! But scaredy cats. You settle down you young whippersnapper! And I emphasize "snapper"! See ya tomorrow Rusty, if ya can, it will be nice & if not, I'll still tell you a pirate's tale! So says I, SamIAm |
