Hi Angel!!
So nice to hear from you. We are still having keyboard issues. Think it's time for a new 'puter! We have an iPad but it just isn't the same as using a laptop and mom hates to type on it.
Our secret weapon for baby birds is called my Dad! hehehe! He is like an animal whisperer. Anyway, he feeds the baby doves oatmeal with a little baby bird powder mixed in. Even Picabo wants the oatmeal now and we all like it actually. Picabo won't eat his food now except for eggs, toast and oatmeal for dinner! He thinks he's a baby bird again. When we found baby sparrows in VA, the vet had us get dry cat food and soak it until it was reallly soft and feed it to them. That worked really well too and they loved it. Sort of smelly. Three of the baby doves stayed in the house yesterday since it was rainy here and then spent the nite. Now they are out flying around and for sure, two of them will be back for dinner and sleeping indoors tonite. The ones that lived inside for 2 months are the ones that hang out here. The other two were only in the house for a month and one we never see at all.
Not much going on here. We've been stuck inside for two days since my parronts have been going to the city. Dad has taken up bike riding and rides in the mornings before it's too hot so he had to get a helment and gloves. And they went to the movies one day too - a silly comedy with Adam Sandler.
Mom is threatening to do wing clips in the next few days. I need some grooming with lots of new feathers coming in on my head. I don't let anyone touch my head without screaming (sometimes I let mom do it for a brief moment and i shut my eyes and enjoy it but then I realize what she's doing and scream). So mom is going to put me in a towel and do my head so I'll be beautiful!
Well, time to fly! I have to supervise some hummingbirds in the garden! I hope you get some rain up there. And yes, bunnies are nice. Picabo thinks they are scary and everytime he leaves the couch and goes to the floor, my parronts tell him the rabbits are going to get him and he runs right back up on the couch. He is so funny! And last weekend there was a loud truck in the street and Picabo yelled "Agua" - that truck comes twice a week and the guy yells "Agua" so guess Boo thought it was the water truck! hehehe
Have a fun weekend. Hugs, Squeaky
