Hi Jake--
Herding the Mommies is enough for me, thank you! I try to herd the old guy, too, but I get yelled at when I do that. Seems when you're over 90, you don't get to be herded any more...gee whiz, I didn't know about that!

Hmmm..More structure for the kiddies, eh? Well, they'll get over it. Mom says keeping to a schedule is NOT for the birds. She is quite enjoying her life without one, although it does feel a lot less productive, she admits. She is going back again part time, and the other Mom is going back to school to be retrained in a new field'll take about 6 months. So there'll be an increase in cage time for me, but the bright side is, they'll be getting up at a reasonable hour again, so no more waiting until 10 AM for my breakfast!

Yup, Mom saw a nice little yellow girl parrotlet at the bird store yesterday...but she suspects I wouldn't share nicely, so they're not bringing me home any company. They are looking for a female zebra finch so Franklin can have a wife...but so far no luck. Mom wants to wait till the Chester County bird show in October, cuz there are usually lots of finches to pick from there. Of course if we do wait, there won't be, cuz that's how they roll! Anyhow, we need some new blood for Franklin. He's currently interested in his grandmom. She isn't real into it...she's past breeding anyhow, and we don't need any more inbred finches!

Well, you and Peps take care...I'm sorry you won't be chewing any homework, but it's probably for the best. You can spend the time watching educational tv and plotting world domination. Meanwhile, hang in there!
