Hi Miranda
Happy beautiful Saturday! I was going to say I hope your day is as gorgeous as mine is with it's sun-drenched blue skies and divine temperatures but I've just looked at the radar and it appears rain may be in your forecast, if not falling on you even now. Whatever's happening, I hope you're happy with it.

I hear you have a giant macaw in your family now. What's your take on the big guy? I've always gotten along with RaneBeau (the Harlequin) here but the Greenwing Reba seems a wise one to keep some distance from. While she appears to be a gentle giant, I get the feeling she'd happily tug out a feather tail or two if I got my red ones too close to her. And I've seen her crack a walnut (effortlessly) so I'm thinking my skinny little neck wouldn't withstand the force of that pale beak.

Oh! Thank you for the almonds. I do believe I'll help myself to one.

Is that a candy cane you're holding and tasting in the picture beneath your baseball photo? The other day dad decided to have a bowl of peanut butter Capt. Crunch. I happen to be sitting on the back of a barstool right across from him so he shared a piece with me. Or I should say, he set one aside for mom to give to me. That man knows better than to put his fingers up to my beak! I'm just waiting for the day I can pay him back for all the times I've had to go to my perch or birdroom because he wanted to sit next to mom, without me glaring at him for interrupting. Anyway, back to the cereal; mom gave it to me, thinking I wouldn't be interested —I don't eat a lot of human food like that — but this one I latched onto and ate without dropping nary a crumb! Dad gets a smidgeon of forgiveness for sharing that treat with me.

Nice chatting with you again~
