Hi Jamaica
Well, Mom got tired of waiting for Teri's sister to send an email, and so she called SweetPepper's house to ask about her. And guess who answered the phone!! SweetPepper's mom! She got home last night, and after sleeping about 14 hours straight, she had just gotten up. The surgery went well, and her bad arm already feels much better.
The surgery lasted 6 1/2 hours, which believe it or not was quick! In order to work on her spine, they had to twist her esophagus out of the way, so it hurts her to eat. Mom suggested Ensure, so she is going to have G-Pa pick her up some. She won't have to wear the neck collar (not like the ones we birdies get, but just as bad), so she is happy about that. However her BP is high, and they will keep an eye on that.
She hopes to be back on BC by Monday or Tuesday, and she assured Mom she'll be ready to type for SP by the milonga for sure.
