Wiley, new member
This is my first time here.
Wiley was an only bird until a few weeks ago. So he didn't have any other cages to get into! We got him some friends (well, we didn't get them for him) - we adopted 2 Budgies that didn't have any home. They are very sweet and talk to each other a lot, especially in the evening. Wiley seems to like having them here (especially at first when he heard them, he cocked his head a lot when they called). He calls to them and they call back (their cages are across the room from each other). The Budgies are not hand-tamed and are quite skittish and since we have dogs and cats, they stay in their cage (a large flight cage). Wiley, however, comes out for at least 2 hours every day, and usually more like 4-6 hours. He has a play-top on his cage and we are going to get him a play stand too. So far he hasn't wandered over to the Budgies' cage. He has lots of toys in and on top of his cage so he seems content with that.
