KNoCK-KnocK-knock
R taps quieter on the door just in case some of the K-Kritters are already asleep. When Riley comes to the door, R asks her if she'd be willing to come out on the porch and practice a little change in the dance routine. After Riley holds up a wingtip as if to say "wait a sec", she steps away from the door, leaving it cracked just a bit. RaneBeau can hear voices, one that sounds like a concerned mama, one that sounds like a cooperative youth. Shortly Riley reappears at the door, a shawl around her shoulders, most likely to ward off the near-chill in the air.

Taking her wingtip, RaneBeau pulls Riley out in the middle of the porch, strikes a pose which she matches, then as RaneBeau hums the music, the two macaws pick up the dance from that point in the song. Riley was steps back a full wing's distance from RaneBeau, then he pulls her in close; they're beak to beak, eyes watching the other's eyes intently. Riley is pushed back out again and spun; her free foot tucks in close as she spins. Then with a stamp, that foot comes down, RaneBeau steps in close and leans Riley back with a flourish. Seeing her pretty white beak in the chilly moonlight light, RaneBeau forgets he's supposed to be humming. And pulling Riley back up to a standing position. The long pause snaps RaneBeau to attention after which he tips Riley back up, faltering to remember where in the song he's supposed to be humming....

"Well, that was good, don't you think? Did you like how that dip followed the spin? I like the way you put your foot down there. Very commanding, very in control, don't you think?

Okay, so is it alright for me to go ahead and tell Kiddo we're in for Saturday night? I told him he could pencil us in but I know he'd like to put it down in ink. And what do you think of the song "Save the Last Dance for Me". Michael Bublé's version is rather tango-ey. I like it anyway. It's the one I was humming, or trying to hum, t'night. I'll get the song info t'SamIAm so he and the Scruffy's can run through it a couple of times before rehearsal. You okay with all this?"
