Fruit Salad - Parrot Style
You will need:

1 orange
1 kiwi
1 banana
1 apple
1/2 grapefruit (you get the other half for breakfast)
1 cup filled with berry of your choice
1/2 cups of orange juice
1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil shavings
All food, oil and juice should be organic
1 Tupperware tub with lid
1 small sharp knife
1 chopping board
1 or more parrots of choice

Remove parrot from cage and place on counter. Next to the parrot, place your selected fruit, chopping board, Tupperware and knife.

Begin by peeling your first item of fruit. Dispose of rind. You will probably then need to take the fruit away from the parrot who will be concentrating on eating as much as possible and/or putting holes in it.

Chop fruit into pieces no bigger than your thumbnail. Offer small piece to parrot who will throw it across the room. Go look for the piece before it rots and smells. When you return you parrot may or may not have flung the rest of the pieces around, scoop up remaining pieces and put in Tupperware bowl. Remove parrot from the chopping board where he is licking up the fruit juice.

Repeat steps until all fruit is chopped. Remove parrot from bowl where he is chucking and eating the fruit then pour orange juice on top of fruit to prevent browning and add coconut oil shavings. Feed to any parrots who were not involved with the making of the fruit salad…

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so very much…

Wing hugs, Chef Taz
