Hi Pringle
Don't you look pretty in your profile pic!! It is a really good one. I like the one of you getting a head skritch too.
I have wonderful news for me and my family. The heat wave has broken!! Mom and I are so excited. The high predicted for today is only 80 degrees, and since it is 77 now at 2:30 PM we suspect it might not even get there. The next several days are all 80 +/- 2 degrees, which may seem warm for October, but after 107 on Monday this is paradise.
Mom shared her lunch with me, and it was leftover veggie pot pie she had modified for Dad's low protein diet from one of Taz's recipes . She uses corn bread from scratch instead of the bisquick (originally because we were out of bisquick, but Dad really likes it this way). The great part is that it is just fine for me too. I like it and even ate some veggies!! I like the crust the best though. Anything corn ranks high on my yum-o-meter!
