Hi Puffin
You and mom grew that pumpkin? Wow, it's gorgeous! Mom tried birdhouse gourds one year, and only got 4 or 5 good ones to use. We've never tried winter squash or pumpkins, though. Well, this morning Mr. Squirrel went back to the center where he will stay and grow for another 10 weeks or so. If it gets too cold for him to amass a stash, he'll overwinter on the squirrel porch there and be released in the spring.
Mom did the member event in the new exhibit today, and got to talk to about 75 people. There were only a couple on her tour of Bird Hall, but they also enjoyed the tour.
Tonight is opera night, opening night of Rigoletto. Mom and her friend have reservations at one of the best Thai restaurants in town before the opera. We'll be stuck in cages while she's gone, but tomorrow we'll have mom all day long. Hope you are having a good day and a good weekend. Hugs, Falco |
