Hello Poirot
11 "Melians"!! How beautiful and elegant a sight that must've been— all those long tails and legs and ears and noses running about so gracefully. Had it been me in that carrier, I would've growled myself hoarse with so many pooches approaching me. You though, you're such a confident, friendly guy. Not many, if any, birds can say they've been for a hike with eleven salukis. I'm impressed.

Not much new or exciting to share from my little patch of the world. The musical cages game has concluded with all cages right back where there were when this waltz started. The only thing that's changed is that Willow's discovered she's brave enough to get down off her cage and march over to mine and Alfie's (who are pushed together side by side) and run us both off. Thinking it might just be the bay window that she wanted to be near, mom moved her cage to the spot Alfie's was, leaving mine beside hers. That worked for a day or so but then Alfie seemed disappointed to be parked beside Saber so it was back to the original layout and training sessions with Willow begun. Since that little Grey girl really likes peanuts, they're being used to reward any sign of friendly behavior while on Alfie's or my cage. When mom can't be there to supervise, Willow now has to go back in her cage. It's a sad thing to have to do but Alfie can't be forced to hide out on the hanging perches all day. Other than that bit of excitement, everything else is pretty much the same ol' same ol'. I needed to come and do that hike with you!

Sleep soundly t'night and may only the penguins visit your dreams.
