Hi Sweetie
It's SO good to hear from you. You and your birdies, especially your sweet Toose are not forgotten. I haven't been blogging as much as I used to, but BC friends are always in my thoughts & prayers. After all, there's no friends like bird friends, right?

I'm not surprised that Toose was in your dreams. She was such a big part of your life and you loved her so much. Love hurts because everything/everyone dies eventually on this side of the grave. Yet, how empty life would be without love. You have to take the risk and it's worth the pain of loss to have loved. I'm so happy to hear that your sweet boyfriend loves birdies too. I couldn't see you with someone who didn't love animals.

Things are good here. My girls are both grown & married. I do miss my granddaughters, since they moved from living in Racine, here, to the Portland, OR area. It was a job-related move. That's how things are now and I accept it. My younger daughter still lives in the area, about an hour drive. She graduated in '10, married last summer and has been applying for teaching jobs since she finished her intership & got her teaching certificates in IL and WI. The teachers here are hanging on to their jobs and not retiring, something that she didn't anticipate while going to school. Lately, she has been getting substitute teaching jobs in about 3 different schools. One is in Racine and I have been puppy-sitting for her when she works in Racine. She has an adorable Cavilier King Charles Spaniel and I find myself liking puppies now because of her. Angel & Pepper keep their distance from puppy. So far it has worked out okay. I'm looking forward to a trip to St. Louis at the end of the month for my nephew's wedding. I will be taking the birdies with me, as I would be worried about them, especially Angel, who is very attached to me. He is now 15 1/2 and Pepper is 13 1/2 and I am afraid to leave them with anyone. You know, birds can stop eating if they are freaked and then it's all over. They are such interesting creatures!

Blog when you can. I know that you are super busy with school and working. Try to treasure the time, as it is a special time in your life. Blessings and best wishes to you.

Angel, Pepper & mom, Sandy
