Scion darling
I love the Hello Kitty backpack! Thank you so much! I bet it's Sugar approved, hee hee!

I'm sorry it takes me so long to write you. It seems that once a week is about all I can manage for blogging, since I have so many flockmates that require the typist's attention as well. I know you've been waiting for input on the Halloween costumes, but I am certainly open to any ideas you or your mom might have! How about being the couple from the "American Gothic" painting? You would look so cute in overalls with a pitchfork! Though our BC friends would probably think we were more "Green Acres" than "American Gothic", hee hee! My typist has no talent whatsoever for that sort of thing so we both appreciate your mom's working so hard on pictures!

How awful about both vehicles breaking down at once! When it rains, it pours! One of the windshield wipers quit working on the Cuddler's car. The Edible One thinks that the bolt that holds the arm in place is loose, but there's a cover over it that he can't figure out how to remove so he can tighten the bolt. They hate to take it to the shop for something that should be an easy fix! They need to figure it out before she leaves on Thursday, otherwise he won't be able to drive if it's raining while she's gone.

The big vacation starts Thursday. The Cuddler has a Med-Surg review class on Wednesday, then her vacation officially starts as soon as she's done. She, her mom, and the kids are leaving first thing Thursday morning. They will spend the night in Raleigh and arrive in Orlando on Friday. They are staying at the Ramada on 192 for 3 nights, then at a Disney hotel for 2 nights. Grandma sold her place last winter so they no longer have free lodging, but they still get free Disney admission since Grandma is still considered an employee. They are all very excited about it, but I am NOT because I have to go to Birdie Camp. I absolutely hate it there - I hate all those strange birds and I miss my pet humans!

I am pretty sure, too, that when they come back, there will be a surprise. I suspect that they are bringing a new flockmate. Since Bebop and Jabber will be leaving, I guess it's okay but I better not have to give up MY cage.

Oh, remember I said the Edible One was having gall bladder issues? About a week later, he broke out in shingles all along that side of his body! It was shingles pain, not gall bladder. He is doing surprisingly well; he says the pain of the rash isn't nearly as bad as the pain before the rash. He is very relieved that he doesn't need his gall bladder removed. The Cuddler is worried that he may have problems while she's gone. He tends to be a bit whiny and melodramatic when it comes to being sick, but he insists that he's fine and they should proceed with their plans.

I haven't heard when the Milonga is, but if it's next Saturday, I should be able to go since the typist won't be working! How about you? It's been ages since I've enjoyed a milonga from under the buffet table!
