Hiya Scooby Bird
(I like that nickname.)

You know, Sweet Pea, sometimes my mom says "Wow" too when she has a look at all the birds here. She really only meant t'have three! What makes it easy is the living arrangements us birds have. The little birds have what we call the Bird Barn. It was once a small horse barn but after the horses moved elsewhere, mom batted her lashes and got dad to convert the building to a bird-friendly shelter. If you'd like to see pictures, Grover, my little 'tiel brother has some on his BC page (60130). This arrangement makes it very easy to take care of all the flyin' friends out there. In the house two rooms have been made into Bird Rooms, with tiled floors as well as bit of tile on the walls for easy cleaning. Us six bigger birds live in the larger room. Five of us have cages but only use them at night. The conures have the smaller room and no cages. In the winter months the bird barn group moves in there which makes it rather nutsy but everybody gets along great. Well, almost everybirdie. Two of the conures don't much like each other but they keep their distance from each other. Anyway, as far as mom knows, she's not lost track of anybirdie! She's got a system for interacting with the ones that want attention. I've just realized that I got so wordy in my last note to you that the end of it didn't make it on your page. Sorry 'bout that. I get t'chattin' with you and talk too much!

That's total bullocks about that Grey bird being judged as having no talent. Boy, give me P. Morgan's arm; I wanna pinch it! From what my mom understands, yes, CAG are among the top "talkers" in the bird world, although I believe it's actually an English budgie that holds the record for most words. The diff is that Greys speak so clearly and have an amazing understanding of the meaning of the words they're using. Miss Kelly shows some pretty impressive signs of intelligence every now and then but she pales in comparison to a number of Greys we've met here on the BC.

As for us having ever seen a Hyacinth macaw, nope, not in the feather. They'd probably charge us $150.00 t'do so just to help pay for the bird! That's a whole lot a dough for a birdie; $15,000.
