Good morning Poirot
I hope you wake to find that it's still raining at your house. It's been a long while since that's happened, hasn't it. Rain is the reason I lost mom to Colorado. They'd made plans to go then decided to stay home and do some additional work on the back porch area but when it was noted there was nothing but rain forecasted for those days Dad had scheduled off they decided to go ahead and go west. Thank you for the offer of a space on your perch. It's nice to know there's a more exciting option out there than being bored at home. Mom is of course back now and life has resumed its usual routine. Young Jack did a fine job of tending us parrots while middle son Max minded the dogs, fish and llamas. Of course it took Mom a couple of days to get everything back to her preferred standards but I kept her company during her tasks which I'm sure made them much more enjoyable for her.

I've added a new word to my repertoire; 'Thank-you!' During the week that dad took care of us while mom was at her folks, a big deal was made about that word. I think Dad was hoping I'd be repeating it by the time mom got back, but alas, I kept it to myself until the moment mom was telling us all good bye for her next trip a month later. It was perfect timing in my opinion; I think there was a twinge of desire to stay home and listen to me say my new word. You might be pleased to know that in recent months I've actually allowed Dad to hear more of my talking. Now when I'm carried into the kitchen and see him there, I say "Cool, cool, cool!" I've even said 'thank you' to him which surprised everyone, myself included.

It's so wonderful to hear you say you're still feeling fine. Oh Poirot, that's the best news. My heart's been so heavy for you for the longest time. You're normally such a vibrant, amazing bird but this affliction, well, it's robbed you of YOU! I so hope all of that's behind you and there's nothing but wild crazy Poirot days ahead. (I'm ignoring that you said there were some slight T-rex issues... maybe if I do they'll just go away!)

Oh, here, I brought you a roll of duct tape. I used a little off the roll myself. It's how I got this note here. :)

Many happy kisses and a long tender hug.
