Hi Calico
After a fun afternoon at the Kissing Booth, Sarah and Calico head for their homes. Early the next morning Sarah awakes early to begin her day.
The phone rings, " Hello Sarah, is that you?" comes the voice on the other end.
"Yes. OH Calico, good morning, how's everything?" Calico tells Sarah about her evening and continues, " How about we go pick apples today?"
"Ok, THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN." Sarah agrees to meet Calico at the apple orchard. " I will bring a basket with me." The two hang up and before all both are dressed and heading from their homes to the big apple orchard.
Sarah flies to the top of a tree to watch for Calico. Soon she sees Calico in her pretty blue and pink sweater pulling the red wagon over the hill top. Flying down to meet her,
"Hi Calico, let me give you a hand with the wagon" the two pull together and are quickly in the orchard. " Let's pick our apples from that tree" Sarah points to a tall, heavily laden tree standing by itself.
"Good idea Sarah, look at all those big, red apples on it." the two girls start to gather all the apples from the lower branches and place them into their basket.
"Sarah look at the apples up there, they look sooooooo red and shiny. Let's pick some of them too." Calico suggests.
"Ok, but how do we get them?" Sarah asks looking way up into the top of the tree.
"One of us goes up there and picks the apples, gently dropping down to the other who will put them into the basket." Calico stands back so she can see the uppermost branches. "It sure is a long ways up."
Sarah says she'll climb up to pick the apples, BECAUSE "TOOs are great at climbing up things." Sarah slowly scrambles up the trunk and climbs from branch to branch until she is sitting on the upper most limb looking down.
One by one the apples drop from the tree. "WOW, these sure are bigggggg apples Sarah" Calico calls up to her friend as she drops another apples into their basket.
"Ok, Sarah, we only need a few more" Sarah quickly picks what they need and begins to climb down the tree.
"OH NOOOOOOOOO Calico" Sarah calls out, " I'm stuck, my sweater is hooked up on a branch and I can't get it loose.." Sarah calls out anxiously
"I will think of something Sarah" Calico says putting her wing to her head, " How about we..............
