Wasn't sure what kind of weather you would be getting today with Hurricane Sandy approaching land. I hope you, the flock, and mom stay safe ~
Hope you had a decent weekend. It's still on the cool side here and very pretty ~
The Birdy Baking Party was so much fun! One of mom's friends brought Slater, her African Grey, instead of Chili, the Amazon. She said something to the fact that Slater seemed more interested in going. He's a hoot! He'll say "where's the kitty"...then he'll meow. My kitty, Moses, didn't know what to think of him. Mom and her friends made two different recipes and I can tell you that one was a HIT with all of us which was the Cranberry-Carrot Birdie Treat. Yumm! The other one isn't liked as much. Mom's going to let me try it this evening so I'll let you know. Oh yea, when the lady took Slater out to place on the tree stand, he decided to make a loop around from the kitchen through the family room and back to the kitchen. That's when she decided he better stay in his cage. That didn't bother him....I think he was just happy to be there with all of us. I have to say when he took flight I wasn't sure what to think. :-)
Anyway, leaving you a BIG TEXAS HUG and let you know you're in our thoughts & prayers all the time, but especially with the hurricane out there ~
