Hi Cookie
I'm finally BACK!!! Mom and us fids had a nervewraking two days here with no power! Mom was just trying to answer as many blogs as she could for us before the power went off and I was right in the middle of getting yours done when the computer started beeping! Mom's laundry was in the washer ready for her to go and put it in the dryer and that never happened! Then the power came back on and Mom threw her stuff in the dryer and ran upstairs to finish our blogs and the power shut down again and never came back on! How boring and cold it was! And really really dark and we could hear the wind howling outside! Mom had me and Kallie under her bathrobe and the two tiels and Celine in a smaller cage all wrapped up in a heavy blanket! Mom couldn't even get anything to eat,so the only thing she could get was dry cereal which she shared with us and water! Dad was out all night helping to make sure everything was safe! We really thank you sooo much for thanking these DPW guys, you are so right about how many people complain and don't see what they have to go through just to do their jobs! This morning my Dad came over in his work truck to get my MOm's car out of the garage, need power for that too!! so she could go to Nana's house who had power and we went there and Nana gave us all something good to eat,and my Mom had a good meal too! And did it feel good to be warm! Then Dad called Mom and told her the power was back on in our house so we left late in the day to make sure the house would be warm when my Mom got us home! The neighbor at the top of our street had a tree fall on her house and the NStar truck was there about the wires that were tangled in the trees! We were very lucky that nothing happened to our house! How is your Dad doing? Give both your Parronts a warm hug from all of us here! We love you soo much and are so grateful for all your prayers and love! Because of your thoughts and prayers our home is still standing and so are we! How are you Cookie and your Parronts and Flock? We've been hearing that New Jersey got hit pretty badly also! We've been praying you all of you there also! This is so scary worrying about all our BC birdies and their flocks and families who are near this storm center! We all here love you all there so much! Wishing you a great day and we're all sending you all our love along with warm birdie hugs and soft beakie kisses, Love,Dixie and Flock and Mom Rose
