Good Evening Grey Pickle
You silly, silly guy! I would've laughed hard enough to fall off my perch had I heard you wring it's grey pickle neck! That line always gets mom and I to cackling. An attempt to record a chatter session this morning ended with several minute-long recordings of only silence. I'd hear the BEEP that signaled the start of the recording and immediately go quiet, as if listening for that phone to say something. No matter where the phone was set or how sneaky mom tried to be in started the recording, I stopped talking every time it came on. I'm sorry, I'll try to do better next time. Tomorrow will be a quiet day for me as Jenny Lynn, Arthur and Flash along with Uncle Chuck are coming down for a visit. You know I won't venture to say a thing while they're all here. I know mom wishes I'd at least say 'thank you' when Uncle Chuck shares the new toys he's said he's bringing for us. Alas, I fear I'll likely just remain mute until he walks out the door.

News of your gradual return of energy makes me so happy, Poirot. The fact that Pring's pellets and a taste of peanut butter really set you back definitely proves that you and those legumes do not get along. I'm sorry about that, both the increased twitching and the fact you can't ever enjoy a peanut again. Can't say that I'd be terribly disappointed if I never had another peanut. I've recently taken up a passion for Alfie's preferred cashews. In fact, just about everybirdie here in the group is going for those big fat raw cashews that are among the nut mix that's brought around at snack time. A variety of nuts are purchased at the Fresh Market then mixed together. Most days I get to pick one nut out of the jar and lately it's been those plump cashews that've caught my eye.

Are you still giving the little octopus a swirling good time? You do some of the funniest things in your play time. The most adventurous thing I've done lately was hang like a chimp from the braided rope that's been hung as a means to get to the perch in the bay window. Since I don't try to fly to that stick, a rope was connected from Alfie's cage to that stick. Sometimes I get on there and just squeal and scream like a crazy monkey in the jungle. By the time a camera's grabbed and ready to shoot, I'm long since on the perch and quiet, acting as if I've no clue who was making all that racket. I'm not very cooperative about audio and video recordings, am I. Thank goodness you are. I sure enjoy hearing and seeing you in action!

Sweet dreams tonight my fluffy vampire.

Life's not so scary with a special friend like you in it with me.
