Annie throws her wings around Scion
I missed you SO much! I hope I'm never away so long again! Thank you so much for visiting me after the Milonga. It made the long imprisonment at Birdie Camp so much easier to bear!

I have so much to say, and so little time. First, I love our picture! Tell your mom it turned out great!

Second, the vacation was very nice. The folks went to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios, as well as the Orlando Bird Fair (or Disney for birds, as the Cuddler called it.) The weather was perfect from start to finish. They got home last Thursday, and it was 77 degrees in Ohio that day. It was as if they'd never left Florida. The next day it was 50 and started raining, and hasn't stopped since! We had high winds from the hurricane on Monday night, but no damage and didn't even lose power.

I had a better time than usual at Birdie Camp. I got to stay in the human part of the house instead of the aviary. Char and Val stayed with me, while Butterball, Apollo, Buddy, and the keets were in the aviary. When it was time to come home, I was surprised and pleased to see that Buddy did not come home with us. Since he doesn't treat the rest of us very nicely, the folks decided that he would be better off at the breeder's. He is much better behaved when he has 200 other birds to deal with instead of just a few! He is doing fine there and has already started wooing the ladies.

My delight was short lived, however, when I discovered a new bird came home from Florida with the folks! They brought home a caique who is a real attention hog. He has a page here on BC, but his pops will continue to blog for him since he's very close to 10K and his pops worked very hard to get him there. Besides, the Cuddler can't even keep up with MY blogs, much less an interloper's! I'm sure you can figure out who he is.

We also ended up with another parrotlet, a tiny green girl who is the sister of our late fister Sally. So you can see the folks are very busy unpacking and getting the new ones settled in.

Did the Canadian friend get the car fixed? Our windshield wiper issue turned out to be more serious than a loose nut, so it still has to go to the shop.

I so enjoyed all the treats you brought. The pumpkin muffins were out of this world! I brought some ginger cake with fresh whipped cream to share. We can snuggle together in front of the fireplace on this cold, wet day and eat ginger cake and drink hot chocolate. Does it get any better than that?
