Hi Ms. Chirps
Wish we'd have known that, mom could have used some help finding deals. Rose Hall shops were way overpriced, and all she got was a cover up for her bathing suit. Jamaica sure is a poor country though...
Thanks, Aunt Theresa, for all of our Thanksgiving pics! You do a great job with them. Mom is happy today because she worked with a red throated loon! She has never seen one up close before, and she got to feed this one live fish! He will be released later today.
On with the cruise: The next day, Halloween, the ship stopped at Grand Cayman. It was a great port, lots of shopping. Mom and Aunt Renee took a submarine trip that day, and saw about an hour's worth of the coral reef off the island. They also saw the drop off from the coral, it goes way down! There were lots of different kinds of coral, fish, and even a few turtles. It was a good excursion, because it didn't take long and there was still time to shop. When they returned to the ship, they were decorating for the Halloween costume party. Mom didn't take a costume though, because she packed as little as she could. One of the finalists for best costume was a guy wearing a long black overcoat with birds and poop all over it! He even had a bird on his head who left poop all over his hair! Mom giggled to see him. Hope you are having a great day, it's cool here and kind of dismal looking. Hugs, Gizmo
