Hey Chica~Chica
Wow, that's scary about your mom's laptop. Weird stuff on the screen about gives ya a heart attack. Super glad it's workin' again. Can't be outta touch with the Chica~Girl!

For some reason I'm acting a whole lot cooler about Dad's presence in this house. Don't know why but I'm likin' the results. Its' always been if when I'm in the kitchen on my playstand and I lunge at dad when he walks past, I'm promptly escorted back t'my room. Sometimes I get a stern sermon in my ear on that eviction trip, other times mom don't say a word and then I really know I'm in deep bird doo. I don't know if this thick head of mine's finally figured it out, but I've not done the jab thing here lately, and for that, I've not gotten my carcass tossed from the kitchen. You get some really good food when you get t'stay in the kitchen at meal time! Yesterday dad was in talkin' with Flash, askin' how his first whole day at the McFarm had been and suddenly I appeared from under the table in the middle of the room. But I didn't take after his feet. I just stood next t'mom's feet and held her jeans with my foot. I do that, ya know, to let dad know that in my room, she's MINE. I didn't go after his feet, I just stood and watched. THAT, my dear Chica, is major progress. Miracles do happen!!! I'm not makin' any promises about them continuing though. Nope.

I didn't realize that you're a tad bit reserved about bein' touched. Did not know that. How long have ya been with the Proctor flock? Were you handled much in your first home? Do you step up for your mom okay? Will you step up onto a carrying perch? That as the saving factor for me, that I would step up on a stick. I at least got t'go places in the house or out in the yard because I'd use the travel perch. Reba, she'd be in a world a'hurt if she wasn't really good about stepping up on mom's arm 'cause that girl's totally freaked out by carry sticks. You'd think the girl had seen a zombie, the way she flees when a travel perch shows up. The good news is, she's makin' progress with them. Mom has this game called Touch the Stick where she offers the perch to Reba so she can tap it. Used t'be she attack it but in the past year she's gotten to where she'll actually touch it, lick it, and is even now allowing it to give her a back rub, tickle her tummy, and just last week it rubbed her feet. But if she had t'step up on it in an emergency situation, I can guarantee you she'd freak out. Maybe in time that'll change. I try and show her the stick's no big deal but she don't believe me. What? Do I look like a politician or somethin'??

Okay, I don't know why I told you all that stuff about Reba. Guess I was just lookin' for an excuse to hang around n'talk. I better get goin' though. I'm behind in my note-writin' so better get on t'the next bit of correspondence.

Happy Friday t'you!
