It's been cold here since mom got back. Happy Veteran's Day to everybirdie out there. Mom's parents both served in WWII, so it was always a big deal when she was growing up. Please thank a service man or woman every chance you get.
Yesterday mom and her daughter went to a Harvest Tasting event, where there were local vendors, farmers, brewers, and wine makers. She got to taste a variety of recipes using local produce, especially squash and apples, and some wines. There was a really good cranberry wine, but she doesn't drink much, so didn't buy a whole bottle. Mom doesn't do beer, so a lot of the booths got passed by. We still got all our attention, though, because mom was here all evening and we all had our out of cage time and time with her. Hope you are having a good day today. Hugs, Gizmo |
