Good morning Poppy!!!
Sorry we didn't write back to u yesterday. Mom has MS & was having a bad day. I think it's really cool our hatchdays are close together! We should help each other campaign for BOTD for our special days! No need to worry, I don't hurt myself. I am not a feather plucker, I bite off my flight feathers in the same area where they would be trimmed. I have never done any damage, I've been doing this for 13-14 yrs! Another thingI do that mystifies everyone, is to protect myself from static shocks. Once the furnace is turned on & static electricity is in the air, I figured out a way to not get my tongue zapped. When Mom hands me something, I touch my beak to her hand to discharge the static. It doesn't bother my beak, but I let out a loud squawk if my tongue gets zapped! V4U.
Your friend, hugs & kisses (I give great kisses!!!)
Tia
