Good for you, stepping up already. Don't worry about those hens, they will get used to you and probably like you, too. I think it's great that Peatree likes you already. She is a fussy girl.
Mom is going to the pool, then to the museum for training in the new temporary exhibit, called Empowering Women, then to the supermarket to start the Thanksgiving shopping and to pick up more stuff for us. I think she'll only be gone a couple of hours though, so we should have her back for the evening. Her Zupreem package has shipped, that's a prize she won on the cruise.
