Hi Chico
They are wild animals in recovery, so mom gets the cleaning done quietly and does not interact with them. Most of them are afraid of people, so it would stress them out if the volunteers tried to initiate contact with them.
We are sad to hear about Star's passing (164432), as she's part of a flock we love, and also Dudley's passing, as he was a new member of a flock we love as well. Mom is going to buy bird food for the outside birds today, after she swims and finishes buying the groceries for Thanksgiving. We're only feeding 9 this year, so it should be a piece of cake. Mom is working tonight at the museum, too, in a temporary exhibit called Empowering Women. She is looking forward to it. We'll let you know how it goes.
