Hi Snowflake--hope you had a great Thanksgiving
November 23
Hello every bird, Sky here with the second half of my interview with Angel Rose, 'U'Ruby and their Mom Eva
Sky: I stand corrected, every bird that is taken to the K Kritter Korral becomes a permanent flock member.
Angel Rose: yes, that is how many of us joined the flock. I was adopted in as a baby at 15 days old, I was a gift to Mom from Dad.
SKY: Ruby, can you tell the names of the BC flock.
Ruby: Oh yes, there is Riley Ann Orion a Blue and Gold Macaw, Priscilla Ivory Rose, a white bellied Caique, Billie Bo Bobbi the Amazon, Corky & Tidbit Green Cheeks, Sid B' Diddle a Congo Grey, Indiana Henry Jones, 111 another Blue & Gold .
Angel Rose; Don't forget Leah Danielle Sharon a Hawkhead to name a few.
SKY: Must keep your Mom Eva pretty busy?
Angel Rose; yes but she also is involved with the Pretty as a Rose Flower Shoppe which I own with Alex. We also have 8 cats at the Korral.
SKY: I understand that you Angel Rose arrived as a surprise?
Angel Rose: Yes, Mom had been very depressed and was having a lot of trouble, nothing seemed to work for her. Dad decided to get her dream bird for her and I came into the family. Mom & Dad raised me. After a few years we moved to South Carolina, and Ruby came to live with us. It was then, that I laid my first clutch of eggs. Unfortunately it was my demise as complication followed and I had to have surgeries to correct the problem.
Sky: I am sorry to hear that Angel Rose. Tell us what happened.
Angel Rose: I got sick and had trouble breathing after surgery. Mom had to rush me back to the Vet after only being home a few days. My Vet tried very hard to save me. I was called home to the Rainbow Bridge. It was a very sad and difficult time for Mom Eva.
SKY: I am glad your Mom was able to eventually move forward to help so many other birds. I do know from talking with your Mom that you will always have that special place in her heart.
Sky: What one thing about birds in general would you like to share with us today?
Angel Rose & Ruby: Please do your homework before you get a bird, educate yourself on their care, needs, the good and the bad of the species you want. Birds are not just feathers, they are a living being with needs and you must be committed to meet them for a long time.
Sky: How does your Mom help to bring education to the public?
Ruby: Mom goes all sorts of places. Any place they will accept her and birds. We've gone to public and private functions, birthdays, ladies groups. We visit nursing homes, Veteran's homes, and go to the program run by our vet for children called,
"Do You Want to BE a VET?"
Angel Rose:MOM will go any where people might listen.
SKY: Well, thank you so much Angel Rose & Ruby for sharing a little about yourselves and the wonderful things your Mom does to benefit every birdie.
with my heart filled with love,
