hi pepper
mom has been distracted with a new cat stray. usually when she sees a cat in the yard she chases it out because she doesnt want them to kill the birds. dad said dont chase this one out and go take a look. so mom went outside and found this poor emaciated cat leaning against the garage door for support. she initally thought it had a big scar running down the middle of its back and soon realized it was the cats spinal cord protruding. it should weigh about 15 lbs but only weighs 4. mom fed it and it ate but she knew it would never make it through the night it was so thin so she put it in a dog crate in the heated garage with a cat bed and food and water. after its intial eating it hadnt eaten since so mom took it to the vet who said it may or may not make it. it is about 8 year old female and has been declawed and must have been abandoed and was starving to death. the vet only put flea meds on cat saying anytbhing else would kill it and too isolate it from the rest of the household for 2 weeks and try and get some weight on it. it is eating very little. of couse being that skinny its stomach probably cant hold very much an mom is trying to give it pedialte to perk it up some so it will want to eat. anyway in the meantime all cori and i are getting is the basic care and almost no blogging on bc. love boo boo
