hi samiam
we think we have good news today.last night, against the orders of the vet mom decided to make a concoction for the kitty and syrine feed her. she mixed porridge(finely ground oatmeal from england that mom feeds us) with a can of whiskas chicken pate, cooked egg, kayro syrup and pedialyte. she mixed it to the consistency of a thick milkshake and managed to get 8 syringes down the cat until it growled at her. that would egual about 4 teaspoons of food. she then put a small dish of royal canain in the cage and put on some classical music for the kitty. this was about 2:00am. this morning the kittys nose was semi moist and she had eaten all the royal canin, mom gave her the milkshake again but only 4 syringes full and the kitty was wiggling and hard to hold. mom hopes the kitty has gotten over the" hump". she is going to continue to feed the milkshake today in small doses. also no diarehea today. the kitty is also able to stand a little better. she knows it was the electrolytes from the pedialyte that helped the kitty. eyes are still sunken in but look a little better today. the other cat in the house was a stray also. its hard when they live outside. it took mom over a year of handfeeding our cat "dot" butterball turkey breast until dot trusted her enough. that was over 11 years ago and dot has never been outside since and has no desire to go out. she remembers when she first started feeding dot. she found him sleeping on the porch chaise lounge with about 1 inch of snow covering his body. mom knows if she hadnt brought maggie in the other day she would have died that day. that is how sick she was. thanks for getting back to us last night. love cori and boo boo
