Hi Charlie
yes the parronts may as well be as the bears cause they eat like crazy for 2 months and then hide out in the house for the winter LOL.
Last night when the parronts got home with me from the vets it was so late and mom was just tuckered out so we just wrote a generic blog but wanted every birdie to know that I was ok. Many of you had asked what the problem was and what happened so here is our story so you will know now too. On Friday morning when mom uncovered me I was working my beak like I had something caught in my throat or beak or my ears were hurting. Mom doesn’t know how long I had been doing this since she just got up and had uncovered me and saw it happening then. Mom called the vet but since the vet works at a zoo or somewhere else and is an avian vet he only works at the vet place two nights a week. Mom did call another vet but they wouldn’t be in either till Monday though in the afternoon but mom had never taken us to that place before. Also remember this was the day after Thanksgiving so a long weekend with people off work. I only did this working my beak for about 15 minutes and quit and never did it again but mom made an appointment with our vet anyway to rule out any problems just in case. Since we didn’t know anything we didn’t say any thing on BC other then I had a vet appointment on Monday evening. The vet did a complete exam on me and I am fine and thinks I either had food caught in my throat or something in my beak caught and got it dislodged and was fine then. Thank you all for caring so much and we love you all!! “Laughter is an instant vacation.” V4U..cousin to cousin we will always be, Gus.
