Heya, RaneBeau!
Mom and I are very grateful for your thoughts about Kim. She is in the nursing home now, hoping that this will get her back to being able to walk. She was able to stand up for 70 seconds on her own, and she is just thrilled that she did not lose any of that ability since she transferred from the hospital to the nursing home. She is praying she gets a good bath, too. Mom is praying that her butt doesn't break down any worse than it is now. She needs to get her strength back. Mom also thinks that since all this stuff is going on with her, a good antidepressant would help her...especially now. Her Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late October. No one told her until her Mom did today. Kim's folks live in AZ, and they had a big family reunion in October, where Kim's Dad paid for their trip. Kim's brother is a bit of an odd guy, so he did not come when the rest of the family was there. But he came down later. Now it makes sense as to why that happened. Her Dad was not doing well since his friend John Glenn (yup, that one) died and then Neil Armstrong died, and Kim's Dad was friends with both.
Mom and I keep praying that Kim is able to get better to be able to see her Dad again one more time. And Kim was the one who her Dad asked to arrange everything, so she is glad that she was able to do that, and that everyone did come.
