Scion darling
Oh, that massage feels so good! Especially on my neck... nothing feels better than a good neck rub. I love it when the hoomans get deep into my feathers and scritch right up against my skin.
All 4 of my eggs have hatched and the babies are a vigorous healthy clutch. Already their peeps have gone from a faint squeak to an insistent squawk. No names yet, and we won't know if they're girls or boys unless we get them DNA sexed.
Has Ice laid any more eggs? I wonder if budgies use nest boxes rather than baskets. I know nothing at all about budgie breeding, since the Ninjas are both boys and it's not something we need to concern ourselves with, hee hee. I use cardboard USPS boxes for my nests. It's cheaper than using commercial nest boxes.
The chicken and rice casserole was yummy! Your mom is a great cook! We had homemade chicken noodle soup this week, and the Cuddler threw some rice in it too, so I had a bit of chicken, some rice, and a whole noodle to myself!
Monday is the Bird Whisperer's birthday. She turns 13, so we'll have 2 teenagers in the house! They're great kids, though. They are getting their portraits taken that afternoon, because the temp is supposed to get up to 62 so they can get some nice outdoor shots. The Cuddler hasn't gotten professional pictures of them in YEARS! The grandparronts are going to be beside themselves!
Tweet isn't the friendliest bird to the rest of us, so you might have to set him straight. The plan was to take his picture with each of us, but he lunged at me so the plan was scrapped. The Cuddler actually snapped a picture in midlunge; she plans on sharing it with Tweet's former pops so he can post it. My head is cut out of the picture because I was flying away!
Can you believe it's December already? How nice that your parronts have the house decorated. We will put ours up this week after the BW's birthday. She wants pecan tarts instead of a birthday cake and that's fine with me - I love pecans!
I brought you a pretty Christmas poinsettia for your cage. I'll save you some of the pecan tarts, and when the Cuddler starts her Christmas baking, you can be sure I'll have her make extra for you! Now, let's snuggle and listen to a Christmas CD. Would you like something traditional, or something modern like the Transsiberian Orchestra? They are coming to Cleveland this month, and the Cuddler may get to go see them!
