hi ranebeau
the cat is coming along. once she started to drink water on her own by thursday evening mom stopped syringe feeding her. she is now eating quite a lot and mom is feeding her 3xday plus her hard kibble. she is still light as a feather and nothing but skin and bones but she somehow feels like she has more substance to her. perhaps from all the liquids.
me on the other hand moms not sure whats going on. for years i wouldnt eat any seeds at all and only wanted people food. my dinner would be whatever mom and dad were eating. an example, chicken ,veggies, mashed potatoes maybe with a piece of roll.whatever the parronts ate i ate. mom feels this is what lead to my liver disease because i should have been eating bird food. she was very happy when she got me off all people food and i have been enjoying and screaming for my macaw seed mixture every morning with a few harrison pellets mixed in. the problem is and they tell you over and over that sunflower seeds are very bad as is corn because they are very high in fat and all the macaw foods include that. now if you are a healthy bird it would be good for you but when you have fatty liver disease it will never correct the liver as long as it still gets high fat. the last few nights i have had a very strange look on my face almost like i looked sick and i was very sleepy when mom had me out for paytime. so what mom did since my macaw seed mixture was almost gone was to go to the pet store and buy me zupreem all natural pellets for macaws and higgins all natural pellets for macaws and she will mix my harrisons pellets in that and i will now eat that. i still get my fresh veggies every morning and for dinner and i am allowed 1 almond a day. i was not happy and i screamed and screamed all day for my parrot seeds. when mom left the room she peeked around the corner and saw i was eating my new pellet mixture. i also had tons of energy tonight. the fat content on the parrot mixture is 18 percent and only 4 percent on the pellet mixture so mom thinks this is a step in the right direction.i also am allowed 1 teaspoon of boiled chicken for dinner. always remember when you ask me or mom a question we must go into detail. love cori
