Hello Gorgeous Yourself
Do I smell peanut butter cookies? No? Just wishful thinking? Haven't smelled any baked goods baking at my house yet. I guess there were those carrot and apple muffins the other day but when they're intended for us birds, the adventure of getting them is not the same. Now a forbidden cookie on the counter, that's entertainment right there. I'm able to keep just enough loft now that I can make it to the kitchen counters once again. Joy, oh Joy! I'm also back to just flying wherever I want to be which I'm sure is going to get me into trouble eventually. It's what got my wings chopped last winter - my incessant departure in the other direction when I thought I was being escorted towards my room instead. Wings give you the freedom of choice!

I can't believe that sweet docile Romeo would honestly take something from you for himself. I just can't picture that. But since you're saying it, I must believe it. You learn something new most everyday and this little tidbit of information is today's eye opener.

The new little puppy is doing very well, thank you for asking. Lana has only been in my room once and that was only for the three seconds it took for mom to scoop her back up and remove her from the premises. She's a bouncy, happy little pup, but as with all hounds, is yet considered a threat while us birds are hanging out in the kitchen. There's not any worries about RaneBeau or Reba getting hurt should they come beak to nose with Lana. It's probably more a fear for the pug's safety in that situation. Since Reba never gets on the floor, it's unlikely macaw and pooch will ever meet and since there's now a doggie gate at each of the doorways in the kitchen, RaneBeua's wandering days into the room are over. Saber and I are the only ones who seem remotely at risk when it comes to the puppy so you know extra caution is used when we're visiting the kitchen.

You know I envy you the outdoor time you're enjoying yet this year. Enjoy a ray of real sunshine for me sometime, would you the next time you're out there, if you should be so lucky as to get to do it again.

As always, Rusty, it's been a pleasure.
