Hi, Zippy,
Oh, isn't there a heater on the birdbath? Somebirdy told us there's heaters for birdbaths, but that means it would have to be located near the house. Poor birds can get any water if it's iced over.

So, the accumulating snow sticks and then more snow could fall and add in to the existing, right? Wow, so much to know about snow that we've never heard of as we don't get any.

Glad that you are still warm in the house. We heard that some birds have to add lots of blankets on the fid houses to keep 'em warm. No fun to be cold when iniside when on expects it to be warm. Mom likes to bake to help add more warmth and it always smells great too.

Have a great day, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
