Hi, Cleo,
Mom's store is in San Jose where they enacted the plastic bag ban in Jan. People tend to put their purchases back in the cart as soon as items are rung up so a lot less paid for items are left behind. Good thing too as there really isn't room to store 'em. Our city has yet to adopt the ban, but some of the other neighboring cities have done so. Stores provide a paper bag for a 10 cent fee. It always amazes mom when a big item is forgotten, easy to overlook the lil things, especially if one is shopping with a fussy kid or two.
Yes, good to try to get away with as much mischief as one can. Furball does that all the time when skinsis (her owner) is at work. When skinsis comes home she always asks if furball has been in her room (furball can open the door) and the parronts always say they daren't go in there!
Hope you and the flock and mom will be safe from the storm. Mom's never driven in snow (and never wants to), but she knows it's gotta be slippery. Do they treat it at all to give it more traction?
