Merry Christmas dearest Scion!
Thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas flowers! Roses and gardenias, my favorites! And the tartan ribbon is so pretty! Annie gives Scion a big kiss.

I do hope you are getting your naps regularly again and that the seizures have stopped. Do you get any supplemental calcium? Sometimes seizures can be caused by a calcium deficiency, especially in (ahem) mature birds. At least that's what I've heard. Maybe the Cuddler can try to send some liquid Calci-boost to your mom if Customs will allow it.

Mmm, your mom made homemade nutriberries? Yum! I was getting cooked food every day when the babies were here but they're gone now so the cooked food supply has dried up. They are at the breeder's for handfeeding and will go to good homes. I really have to post pictures one of these days. The oldest baby is the spitting image of me and the folks call her Annie Jr. Butterball's youngest baby didn't make it but the two survivors are getting big and fat. In every picture the breeder sends, their beaks are gaping wide open, begging for food! The apples didn't fall far from the tree!

We had our first snowstorm last week, but it wasn't as bad as feared. We only got a couple inches of snow. It's cold now, though. The folks have their winter clothes and hats and boots and gloves out, and all the storm windows are in place. It's very Christmasy!

Speaking of Christmas, are you ready for it? The Cuddler has ONE more gift to buy after work in the morning, and then she has to stay up to bake instead of going to bed. Grandma asked her to make a carrot cake for Christmas Day, and since carrot cake is not on her usual Christmas baking list, she has to go pick up carrots and cream cheese for it. Christmas day the family is going to Grandma and Grandpa's so us birds will be at home, though there is talk of Tweet going along. The grandparronts were rather taken with him when they were here a couple weeks ago. I've been here for 3 years and they've barely given me a look, but bring out a funny green bird with an orange head and yellow pants and they act as if they've never seen a bird before. It's rather maddening!

Cooking in an outdoor oven sounds delicious! I bet the torts cooked over the fire are awesome. The folks here make homemade torts too. They're good with butter! I agree with your mom, octopus ceviche does not sound good. Octopus is a little too chewy for my taste.

The reindeer cookie was tasty, and so good with the hot cocoa! Today I brought some of my special homemade eggnog. Don't worry, I went easy on the brandy. Do you like fruitcake? We have homemade fruitcake this year and I brought you some. I like the nuts in it. I would love to roast marshmallows with you and nibble our fruitcake and share kisses - I love your kisses too!

I hope you have a Merry Christmas, dearest Scion! I will be back this week with your present!

Your Annie
