Hey Peepers
Mom has 3 friends with moms or aunts in their late 90s, and that's who they visited yesterday. Aunt Marge is 95, still has her own teeth and mental faculties, but her body is betraying her, as she can't get around now without a wheelchair. She was delightful and happy to see 5 of the friends troop in on her. Aunt Erma is 93, in senile dementia, but a lot of her family was there when they got to her nursing home, so they had a great visit with all the Italian relatives and Uncle Carl, who is 97 and still lives in their home on his own. He goes to see her every day, is very devoted. And Grace, the last one, is in hospice care. They didn't spend much time there, but wanted to let her know they were thinking of her. Her nephew is mom's friend from Munich, and he stayed behind to feed her when the rest left. Mom and her friend Vincenza went out for Thai food after. Hope your day is great! Hugs, Willie |
