hi Peepers!
Wow! That really is scary! What happened to Dixie? She must have had a time recovering! HOw badly was her beak injured? Mom would never let mixed species like that out together. You sure can have problems that way. Even the same species and same size birds can hurt each other. MOm is always watchful when we are out and stays in the room with us and interacts with us when we are out. Chicklet gets out separately from us too. Mom has read of stories how conures that had always gotten along injured each other severely one time. Birds can be territorial too and it is hard to have them all out together sometimes as accidents do happen. Us tiels are such sweet creatures too. Yet you can get a bird that will just not get along with the others so your mom did the best thing if that lory was causing so many problems. Otherwise you would have to have her in a separate room and separate out times. No point stressing out the other birds like that. Poor Dixie! She has come a long way! All of us birds have been good except I have chomped down on Sunny's foot really good a few times and mom was not pleased with me:( I added a few new pics:) The first is my toy that mom made and gave me for Christmas:) it doesn't look like that anymore though...LOL! All that is left are the stars and green wicker finger. Not much left of the stars either....LOL! The other pic is me chewing on it when I got it! THe new ones are after the parrot pal:) Hope you have a good evening;)
