Hi, Mackenzie,
Those are great pet names. The Proctor flock (Taz, Scooby, plus 7 more)dog is named Harley, but it's a smaller furball not a retriever. The Proctor dad races motorcycles and think that's where the name came from. Can't recall for certain, but think that Harley is a girl. That's terrible that someone would not know to use bleach in diluted form.

Okay, furball's adoptiong story. At Christmas of 2011 skinsis boyfriend planned to get her a pup even though he couldn't really afford to buy one. He'd moved to Sacramento to share expenses with his brother and the brother's wife, baby and husky mix dog. (The brother's wife is skinsis friend from kindergarten.) One day a pup showed up on the doorstep. (Approximately 8 weeks old.) Skinny, dirty, cold. He found out that it belong to a friend of the people next door so he returned it to them. A few days later the pup was back in a similar state. He took it in and decided they could ask for the pup back. He cleaned it, fed it, and took it to the vet who gave it meds for worms. Upon inquiry to the vet he was told that after 3 days of no one claiming the pup he could keep it so he did. Not too long later the 'owner' asked for the pup, but skinsis boyfriend said no the pup was effectively abandoned and furball belonged to him now. Guess she qualifies as being rescued, right?

Another baby bird story next time.

Have a great day, wing hugs and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
