Hey Dixie
and flockmates and sweet and lovely mom Rose. That is such great news that your breathing is better, we are so happy for you and your mom. We sure hope and pray it just keeps getting better and better. Please tell your wonderful mom how much my mom appreciates her kindness and support, it has really touched her heart. And, great news for mom too, Roxy is ok!! It is just a fatty tumor. Mom is so relieved, Roxy is such a sweet baby and so devoted to mom, like we are. Wow, that is hard to have to watch your skin sis in a tough relationship. Mom says before our skin sis met her husband, she was in a difficult relationship too with a guy that was totally controlling. The guy even tried to extort money from mom and dad. Mom butted out for a very long time but finally decided to just tell skin sis her opinion and she could do with it what she wanted. It wasn't too long after that she dumped the guy but mom thinks it was because she was already finally tired of his shenanigans. Then she met her now husband where she was working as a cook while attending culinary school. He was serving while putting himself through school. Skin sis graduated and they decided to move to Vegas so he could attend UNLV engineering school. Skin sis eventually got a job at the Paris and she and boyfriend got married and then he graduated from UNLV and got a job with Chevron and they have been moving around ever since. They are trying to get an overseas assignment next. That will be hard for mom cuz she doesn't know how often she will get to see the grandbabies but she is happy for them. Mom lived in the Netherlands for 6 1/2 years when her dad was transferred there in 1966 and it was a super experience. Skin bro lives in an apartment about 10 minutes away. He transferred from junior college to UCSB and graduated with honors in business/economics. He works in SF and takes BART there everyday. He is doing well but so busy with his own life mom and dad don't get to see him that often. They know that's how it goes but they miss him sometimes. He was living in an apartment with a roommate and her husband before but they took advantage of him too. He had all the furniture and they damaged it never offering to repair or replace and then they asked him to move out because her parents were moving to the area and they wanted his room. A lesson learned. It was hard for them to butt out of that too. Mom says she is very sorry for the tough things your mom has to deal with - especially when it comes to your kids. It seems we have quite a bit in common. Mom sure appreciates all the love and concern from all of you and she will pray for all of y'all and is wrapping her arms around everyone in a big virtual hug full of love and care for you too. We send you a vote dear Dixie,
Athena and Mackenzie
